Easy No-Bake Oreo Cheesecake Cups

These no-bake Oreo cheesecake cups are cookies-and-cream in a jar: a dark chocolate cookie crust, a fluffy cream cheese filling packed with Oreo chunks, and a whipped-cream swirl with a whole cookie stuck on top. No oven. No water bath. No springform panic. Twenty minutes of mixing, then the fridge does the work.

They look like bakery dessert and taste like the ice cream you ate from the carton. Make them the morning of a party. Make them on a Tuesday because the package of Oreos is already open. Either way, they slice — well, spoon — clean after a two-hour chill.

Why this Oreo cheesecake cup works

  • Real whipped cream keeps the filling light. Dense brick cheesecake does not belong in a jar.
  • Two Oreo textures — fine crumbs in the crust, chunky pieces in the filling.
  • Softened cream cheese is the difference between silky and lumpy.
  • A 2-hour chill sets the cups so a spoon stands up, like the photo.

Ingredients (6 cups)

Flat lay of no-bake Oreo cheesecake ingredients including Oreos, cream cheese, cream and powdered sugar

Full-fat brick cream cheese only. The tub style is too loose. Leave the Oreo filling in the cookies when you crush them — that cream is flavor and it helps the crust stick. Six 6- to 8-ounce jars or glasses work. Plastic cups work for a kids’ party.

Cookie crust

  • 16 Oreo cookies
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Cookies-and-cream filling

  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cold heavy whipping cream
  • 8 Oreo cookies, coarsely crushed

Topping

  • ¼ cup heavy cream, whipped (or extra filling reserved)
  • 6 whole Oreos
  • Extra cookie crumbs

How to make no-bake Oreo cheesecake cups

1. Make the Oreo crust

Pulse 16 Oreos in a food processor, or bag them and crush with a rolling pin, until you have mostly fine crumbs with a few specks. Stir in the melted butter until the mix looks like wet sand. Spoon about 2 tablespoons into each jar and press lightly — do not pack it into concrete. A loose crust spoons better.

2. Beat the cheesecake base

Beat the cream cheese alone for a full minute until it is completely smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla and beat again. Scrape the bowl. Any lump you leave now will still be there when you serve.

3. Fold in whipped cream and cookie chunks

In a clean cold bowl, whip 1 cup heavy cream to stiff peaks. Fold it into the cream cheese in two additions with a spatula. Stop when you do not see white streaks. Coarsely crush 8 Oreos — you want chunks, not dust — and fold most of them through the filling. Save a handful for the tops.

4. Layer the jars

Spoon or pipe the filling over the crusts, tapping each jar once on the counter to settle air pockets. You can do a second thin crumb layer in the middle if you want a parfait look. Smooth the tops. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours, overnight if you can.

5. Garnish right before you serve

Whip the remaining cream and swirl it on. Add crumbs and stand a whole Oreo in the cream. That last-minute garnish stays crisp. If you put the cookie on the night before, it softens — still good, just not the photo.

Make-ahead and swaps

The cups keep covered in the fridge 3 days. Do not freeze — the filling weeps. No heavy cream? Fold in 1½ cups thawed Cool Whip. Golden Oreos, mint Oreos, or peanut butter Oreos all work. A drizzle of chocolate sauce on top is extra, not required.

FAQ

Can I make one big pan instead of cups?
Yes. Press the crust into an 8-inch square pan, spread the filling, chill 4 hours, and cut into squares.

Why is my filling runny?
The cream was not at stiff peaks, or the cream cheese was too warm and soupy. Whip the cream further and chill longer.

Do I remove the Oreo filling?
No. Crush the whole cookie.

How far ahead can I make these?
Up to 24 hours. Add whipped cream and the whole Oreo the day you serve.
